Based out of Springfield, Illinois
Moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan this August!
Erica. 27 years old. Central Illinois Filmmaker.
What I am enjoying the most in this world right now: film photography, early morning coffee and a crossword puzzle, raising our new kitten, watching Quentin Tarantino movies, learning how to cook the best meals I've had in restaurants, and advocating for what is right and just.
I'm originally from Dayton, Ohio and am deeply rooted in midwestern value: honest, humble, and good people who live simply and work hard.
I'm married to the greatest guy in the world and we currently live in Springfield, Illinois. We met post-grad volunteering in the hollows of Appalachia in January 2014 and married in June 2019. We love cooking, camping, exploring new cities, board games, and our families.
I've been documenting stories for couples and businesses since 2018 and I hope to do this for the rest of my life. My mom filmed my and my sister's upbringing on a 1980’s, clunky, JVC camcorder. I'll never forget the feeling I had when I watched these videos for the first time. The candid moments captured on those home tapes made me realize how invaluable documenting is and the magic that comes when those moments are shared.

I also work at Springfield Clinic on their production team: storyboarding, scripting, filming, and editing with other producers and videographers - I am so grateful as this perfectly matches my career goals of working with a team and telling beautiful stories. It is so important for patients (current and new) to still feel safe and comfortable when coming in to see their doctors for their needs during this pandemic. And it is so important for doctor's and patient's stories to be shared. I'm overjoyed to be working with this remarkable team of individuals - they some of the most talented, creative, and inspiring folks I have ever met.
